As children, we are like supreme sponges, absorbing the norms, values, and social behaviors modeled by those around us. The society we grow up in shapes our perceptions of success, worth, and identity long before we are old enough to question whether these constructs actually align with our spiritual or emotional well-being.
Over time, these absorbed behaviors evolve, merging with our adult experiences, to form the person we are today. Yet, who we become isn’t by conscious design but by default—an accumulation of societal programming designed to serve systems, not souls. These beliefs, instilled through media, education, and culture, shape not only our actions but our core identity. What we consume, how we think, move and even how we dream are influenced by this invisible force.

The concept of “It takes a Village” and the “Village” mindset is deeply rooted in our evolutionary past, where our survival often depended on the strength and unity of our Tribes. The psychological comfort of feeling accepted by a group taps into this ancient wiring, giving us a sense of safety and belonging regardless of present dangers or degredation. However, in modern society, this need for acceptance has often been exploited, leading to the rise of programmed negative behaviors and false forms of assimilation that strip us of individuality and humanity.
We must instead, Seek to build connections that cross similar cultural and language barriers, fostering real unity instead of superficial acceptance. Focus on humility and humanity, and how your actions can contribute positively to the lives of your peers. Resist the urge to fit into spaces that demand your silence or sacrifice your authenticity. Instead, strive to create a village that accepts you for who you truly are and inspires you to grow into the best version of yourself.
